REGIS SWEEPS FIELD HOCKEY WEEKLY AWARDS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE WEEK

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior forward Kelsey Morton (South Portland, Maine) has been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference field hockey Player of the Week, while teammate Aineen Callahan (Diamond Point, N.Y.) has been named the Rookie of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon.

Morton started and played in both games for the Pride this past week. During the September 19th contest against non-conference opponent New England College, Morton scored the game-tying goal in the 27th minute and the game-winner in overtime. This is the second straight week Morton has earned Player of the Week Honors.

Callahan appeared in both contests for the Pride, leading the Crimson and Gold to a 1-1 record. During the September 19th contest against New England, Callahan assisted on Kelsey Morton's game-winning goal in overtime.

The Crimson and Gold return to action on Saturday, September 26th when the team welcomes Clark University to campus as part of Pride Fest for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
