Adverse Weather Affecting Upcoming Regis Athletics Events

WESTON, Mass. - Due to a spring snowstorm that brought more snow than expected to the Regis College campus, one home event has been postponed, and a road contest has been moved due to the forecast calling for more precipitation Saturday.

The Regis Spring Classic scheduled for Friday, April 5, has been postponed due to the presence of snow and ice which will not be removed in time. A special Eclipse Edition will now take place Monday, April 8, starting at 1 p.m. with the men's hammer throw and the women's shot put. The jumping events, pole vault, and track events are set to begin at 2 p.m. 

The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) softball doubleheader between Regis College and Johnson & Wales University scheduled for Saturday, April 6, has been moved to Monday, April 8 due to Saturday's forecast. The first game of the twinbill is now scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Monday with the second game scheduled for 7 p.m.

With the forecast calling for more rain starting Wednesday afternoon, the scheduled softball doubleheader between Regis College and Lesley University has been moved up to Tuesday, April 9, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Regis Softball Field.

The non-conference women's tennis match between Saint Anselm College and Regis College scheduled for Saturday, April 6, at 11 a.m. has been postponed. It is rescheduled for Saturday, April 20, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Regis Tennis Courts.
