2016 Cross Country Schedule

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis (Mass.) men's and women's cross country schedule has been released and currently features six races including the New England Collegiate Conference Championships held Oct. 29.

First-year coach Kourtney Bonsey is looking forward to the challenge ahead for both Pride squads. "This fall's cross country season promises to be an exciting one. We will take part in several high-caliber competitions which I hope will be a great experience for our student-athletes."

The Pride open the season with the Roger Williams Invitational (Sept. 3) held in Bristol, R.I. Last seasons invite saw Stephen McCall (Brockton, Mass.) and Shane Romanchick (Trumbull, Conn.) both best the previous Regis school record in the 5K.

After a week off, the Pride take part in the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational (Sept. 17) then in the Codfish Bowl (Sept. 24) the following weekend.

After a second weekend off, Regis returns to the course Oct. 8 at the James Earley Invitational in Westfield, Mass. The race will be one of the biggest of the season with upwards of 40 teams on both the men's and women's sides.

The regular season closes on Oct. 14 with the Saints Invitational in Boston. Sophomore Andrea O'Hearn (Pelham, N.H.) ran to a top 25 finish out of 201 competitors in last season's race.

The Pride will have a final week off to gear up for its final NECC Championships.
