McLellan Named ECAC Pitcher of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. – After winning her second NECC weekly honor, Regis (Mass.) freshman pitcher Madi McLellan (Freemont, N.H.) was awarded her first Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) honor, named ECAC Division III New England Region Pitcher of the Week.

McLellan continued her blazing start to the season. She threw an impressive 16 shutout innings on the week, allowing just 10 hits and striking out 16 to go 3-0 and post a 0.00 ERA on the week. McLellan was also credited with the save in a win over Southern Vermont this past Thursday.

She currently leads the NECC with an ERA of 1.22 and has not allowed a run in her last 20 innings pitched.

McLellan and the Pride are in action today, hosting Lesley for an NECC doubleheader beginning at 5:00 p.m.
