Regis College women’s tennis player Elora Granados (Chillicothe, Texas) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week this week, it was announced by the conference offices on Monday morning. Granados posted wins in her first two collegiate matches for the Pride (0-5).
The Regis College women’s tennis team will open the season with seven players for 2011. The Pride move to a new conference joining the New England Collegiate Conference, “We are still building the program, but this year’s recruiting class should give the team a great start in the NECC,” stated head coach John Ciarleglio.

The Pride was able to experience, great weather, psyched players, and excellent tennis. The Pride was host to three other academic intuitions with Johnson and Wales University, Lesley University and Worcester State College, placing competitors in the event. The Wildcats were the overall winner of the event, with the Pride and Lancers, taking second place honors.

DUDLEY, Mass. (Sept. 25) – The Nichols College women’s tennis team celebrated Homecoming with a 9-0 victory over visiting Regis College Saturday morning. The Bison dropped only five games in singles play as they improve to 8-1 overall and 7-0 in the TCCC. Regis dips to 1-7 overall and 1-6 in TCCC action.
