WINTHROP, Mass. – Coming off a record-breaking season, junior outside hitter Katryna Veasey (Quincy, Mass.) has been voted Second Team All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) by the league's women's volleyball coaches, as those voting results were announced Tuesday by the conference office.

This past season, Veasey led the Pride and the GNAC with 346 kills and 3.36 kills per set, setting Regis single-season records in both categories. In addition, she became the Pride's all-time leader in kills, finishing the year with 859 career kills, already 185 kills more than the previous record of 674 career kills established by Megan McCarty from 2007 to 2010.

In 12 conference matches, Veasey averaged 3.60 kills and 3.13 digs per set, plus she collected 19 service aces and 19 total blocks. She tied her career high for kills in a match with 20 kills against Suffolk Oct. 20, plus she compiled 19-kill performances at Saint Joseph's College Sept. 22 and at University of St. Joseph Oct. 27.

This is the third straight year Veasey has earned an All-Conference award, adding this year's honor to First Team All-NECC recognition in 2016 and Third Team All-GNAC honors in 2017.

Regis is represented on the GNAC Women's Volleyball All-Sportsmanship Team by senior defensive specialist Erika Andreoli (Naugatuck, Conn.), chosen for her dedication to fair play within competition throughout the season. Andreoli appeared in 40 matches during her Regis career, collecting 61 digs and 21 service aces for the Pride.

GNAC regular season and conference champion Johnson & Wales is represented by five players on the All-GNAC First Team, plus the Wildcats earned three of the major awards.

The Regis women's volleyball team finished with a 12-16 overall record and just missed qualifying for the GNAC Tournament after a ninth-place finish in the final regular season standings at 4-8.
