Pride Women's Tennis Sweeps Bay Path

WESTON, Mass. - The Regis (Mass.) women's tennis team nabbed its sixth consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Bay Path University Wildcats by a score of 9-0.

With the victory, the Pride stays perfect in NECC play at 5-0 (7-1 overall), while Bay Path falls to 0-4 in NECC play (0-6 overall). 

The Pride won every possible point on the afternoon, winning all three doubles matches 8-0 and all six singles matches 6-0, 6-0. The clinching match came at No. 5 singles, where the Pride's Emily Rice (Pittsfield, Mass.) defeated Clarissa Morin (Douglas, Mass.), securing the Regis win.

The win continued the Pride's impressive run through its NECC calendar this season, as the team has taken all but one of a possible 45 individual matches on its way to the 5-0 conference start.

The Pride will play in its final regular season NECC match on Tuesday evening, as it travels to Lesley University to take on the Lynx at 7:30 p.m. The Wildcats will face the exact same opponent when it resumes play Monday for a doubleheader against the Lynx at home. The first serves are scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
