CIARLEGLIO TO HEAD COACH WOMEN'S PROGRAM

Weston, Mass.—Regis College Director of Athletics, Marybeth Lamb, recently announced that John Ciarleglio, men’s tennis head coach, would also begin serving as the women’s tennis head coach starting immediately.

Ciarleglio was hired in 2008 to coach the men’s tennis program, which would be elevated to varsity status in 2010 after playing a club schedule in 2009. He will be charged with all facets of coaching, including recruiting for both the men’s and women’s tennis programs, day-to-day practice responsibilities, and player development.

Josh Winer will join Ciarleglio as assistant coach of both teams. Winer became Ciarleglio’s men’s tennis assistant coach in 2009. The two developed a men’s program with six members in its inaugural year of competition.

Ciarleglio has already begun to add members to the men’s program, announcing the additions of Andy White (Bozeman, Mo.) and Daniel Berdichevsky, a top 100 nationally ranked badminton player, to his incoming class of recruits.

The men’s tennis program participated in a limited The Commonwealth Coast Conference schedule in 2010, but will expand its opponents in the upcoming years.
