McQuaid Tabbed as NEISDA Female Co-Diver of Week

WESTON, Mass. – Coming off an event victory in her first competition of the 2019-20 season, senior Elisabeth McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.) has been voted the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Female Co-Diver of the Week by the organization's coaches, announced Wednesday afternoon by the NEISDA.

Participating in last Saturday's double-dual meet against Bridgewater State and Eastern Connecticut State, McQuaid finished first in one session of one-meter diving with a score of 168.65 and second in the other session with a total score of 165.95.

Saturday's event win was the seventh for McQuaid since the start of her junior year. She owns both the school and pool records for five dives, six dives, and 11 dives, set at the 2018 Regis Invitational. McQuaid is a two-time GNAC champion in one-meter diving, has finished second in the one-meter event at the NEISDA Championships in each of the past two years, and qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals last season.

McQuaid extends the streak of a Regis student-athlete receiving an NEISDA weekly award to three straight weeks, following fellow senior Sarah Leonard (Brockton, Mass.) two weeks ago and junior Noah Toumayan-Miller (Natick, Mass.) last week. McQuaid shares this week's diving honor with Sarah Carls of Norwich.

The Regis College swimming and diving teams face Gordon College at the Bennett Center on campus in Wenham, Mass., Saturday, Nov. 2, starting at 1 p.m.
