McQuaid Named NEISDA Diver of the Week

WESTON, Mass. - Elisabeth McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.), a freshman on the Regis (Mass.) women's swimming and diving team, has been voted the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Assocation Diver of the Week.

In last Saturday’s meet vs. Babson and Norwich, McQuaid scored 153.75 points on her first five dives and 208 points on her last six optional dives. McQuaid has shown improvement consistently over her past three meets. She also stepped up to swim in the 200yd Freestyle Relay, which she swam in 32.83.

Prior to her diving career at Regis, McQuaid dove for AMSA Charter. She finished fourth at MIAA Region II State Championships as a high school senior. She is a ten-year diver for ZAP Diving. She is currently majoring in secondary education at Regis.

McQuaid and the rest of the Pride return to the pool on Friday at St. Joseph’s College (Maine). The first events are set to get under way at 6:00 p.m.
