REGIS COMPLETES DAY ONE OF NEISDA CHAMPIONSHIPS

KINGSTON, R.I. - The Regis College men's and women's swimming & diving teams were well represented on Day One of the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association (NEISDA) Championships, held on the campus of the University of Rhode Island. 

Freshman Kiet Luong (Malden, Mass.) had the best finish of the day for the Pride, as the rookie took second place in the 100 yard Fly after posing a time of 50.89, which is a new Regis College record. Luong also broke the school record in the 100 yard Back (53.92) as part of the 400 yard Freestyle Relay.

Haley Bowen (Litchfield, N.H.) had a record breaking day in the pool as well, as the junior secured an eighth place individual finish in the 50 yard Breast. Her time of 32.32 is a new school record. 

Junior Alex Graf (Newton, Mass.) also swam well for Regis. Graf came in fifth place in the 50 yard Free with a time of 21.86.

The Pride will look to carry their momentum into Day Two of the NEISDA Championships, which begin tomorrow at 10 a.m.
