McPherson Collects Another GNAC Goalie of Week Award

WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore Brittany McPherson (Lynn, Mass.) has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week for the fourth time this season, as the weekly honors were announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

McPherson played another solid match as Regis stayed atop the GNAC standings with a victory over Rivier last Wednesday. She made six saves while allowing just three goals for a .667 save percentage against the Raiders. McPherson made three saves in each half of the contest.

After the games of April 18, McPherson is fifth in Division III in save percentage at .565 and sixth in goals against average at 6.48. With 13 wins in net, she is now just one victory away from tying the school single season record of 14 wins set by Emma Decker in 2014.

Regis (13-1, 10-0 GNAC) hosts Johnson & Wales on the final day of the regular season Wednesday, April 24, starting at 6 p.m. at Regis Stadium. The winner of the conference match will claim the top seed in the upcoming GNAC Tournament, while the loser will be the second seed. Both teams will host a quarterfinal contest Saturday, April 27.
