NASHUA, N.H. - The Regis College women's lacrosse team defeated Rivier University, 16-3, Wednesday night in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup.

Alyssa Kelly (Lee, Mass.) once again led the Pride with four goals, while Kerri Anselmo (Natick, Mass.) finished with three goals and four assists along with two caused turnovers. Jordyn Ringuette (Colchester, Conn.) ended up with two goals and two assists, Brooke Ross (Hanover, Mass.) and Rachel Nadeau (Coventry, Conn.) contributed two goals apiece, and Taylor Assarian (Arlington, Mass.) added two assists to the winning effort.

Kelly scored the first two goals of the match four-and-a-half minutes into the contest, and then she picked up her third goal 22 seconds after Nadeau notched her first goal of the night. The Pride scored the first eight goals of the game before Rivier's Dzenana Omerovic put her team on the board with 10:53 remaining in the first half. Regis closed out the first half with three more goals, including tallies by Anselmo and Emily Kosak (Milton, Mass.) 37 seconds apart.

The Pride continued to pressure the Rivier defense in the second half, scoring the first five goals after halftime, featuring the first goal of the season for Bella Oliver (Sagamore Beach, Mass.). The Raiders did score twice late in the match within a 52-second span, as Marin Owens scored followed by Omerovic's second goal of the contest.

Brittany McPherson (Lynn, Mass.) notched a .667 save percentage as she finished with six saves while allowing only three goals. Courtney Laperriere played the entire match in net for the Raiders and was credited with seven saves. 

With the victory, Regis extends its program-record winning streak to 13 matches.

Regis (13-1, 10-0 GNAC) closes out the regular season next Wednesday, April 24, at home against preseason favorite Johnson & Wales starting at 6 p.m. The Pride will then host a quarterfinal match of the GNAC Tournament Saturday afternoon, April 27.
