    Regis College freshman Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) scored nine goals and added an assist en route to a 10-point day as the Pride defeated the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 18-5, on Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass. Regis wraps up its 2012 season with a program-best 9-4 record. Mass. Maritime drops to 2-12 overall with the setback.

    St. Joseph’s College’s Cassie Diplock (Augusta, Maine) scored six goals and added an assist, while her teammate Amelia Santos (Beverly, Mass.) scored four goals and recorded four assists as the Monks defeated host Regis College, 18-16, in a women’s lacrosse shootout in Weston, Mass. on Thursday afternoon. The Monks improve to 5-3 overall, while the Pride drops to 6-4.

    Regis College built a 5-3 lead at the half and held off a late Daniel Webster charge in the second half to take a 10-9 victory over the Eagles in a first ever matchup of future NECC foes Tuesday at Eagle Field. The victory gives the Pride an overall record of 6-3, while the Eagles drop to 3-4 on the season.

    The Regis College women’s college lacrosse team was defeated by Salem State Tuesday night by the score of 18-15. The Pride moves to 4-3 overall on the season, while the Vikings even their standings at 1-1. The Regis offense was powered by freshman Grace Politis (Billerica, Mass.) who led all scorers with eight points. Politis scored seven goals and had one assist on the night.

The Pride extend their winning-streak to three games and improve to 4-2 overall with the win. Elms drops to 0-4 with the setback.

    Freshman midfielder Madison Altwies (Southington, Conn.) netted five goals, including the overtime game-winner, in her collegiate debut to lead the Emmanuel Saints to a 13-12 win over Regis College on Tuesday night. The non-conference women’s lacrosse game played under the lights at Roberto Clemente Field was the season opener for the Saints, who are now 1-0 on the season, while Regis drops to 1-2 overall.
