    ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference handed out its men’s volleyball all-conference honors on Monday with Regis College’s Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) named Player of the Year and Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) Defensive Player of the Year.

    Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) delivered a double double with 14 kills and 14 digs but it came in a heartbreaking loss as the Regis College men’s volleyball team fell in five sets to Daniel Webster on Friday night in the semifinals of the New England Collegiate Conference men’s volleyball tournament at McDonald Gymnasium. Set scores were 22-25, 26-24, 13-25, 25-19, 15-12.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team begins postseason play this week at the New England Collegiate Conference Tournament on Apr. 8 & 9 hosted by Endicott College. The Pride enter the field as the No. 2 seed and will open the four-team tournament with Daniel Webster. The tournament winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

    D.J. Lyons (Colorado Springs, Colo.) had a match-high 17 kills, Manny Santiago (Bristol, Conn.) added five blocks and the Regis College men’s volleyball team topped Lesley University in straight sets Saturday on Senior Day at Higgins Court. Set scores were 25-13, 25-10, 25-21.

    In a match between conference powers, the Regis College Pride men's volleyball team took down Daniel Webster in four sets to pull into a tie for second place in New England Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday night on Higgins Court. Set scores were 25-19, 25-22, 20-25, 25-21.

    The Fontbonne University men's volleyball team rallied from a 2-0 second set deficit to beat Regis College 3-2 (21-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 15-9) this Wednesday evening on Higgins Court. The victory improved the Griffins record to 12-9 and the loss dropped the Pride to 10-11.

    The Elms College men's volleyball team fell to visiting Regis College in a New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) match at Picknelly Arena Thursday night. The Pride defeated the Blazers, 3-1 (26-28, 25-17, 25-13, 25-13) to improve to 9-10 overall and 6-2 in conference play, while Elms drops to 2-5 in league standings and 10-11 on the season.

With the win, JWU evens their overall mark at 11-11 while the Pride slip to 8-10 on the campaign.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team stayed hot after earning their fifth straight victory sweeping the John Jay College of Criminal Justice 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-21) Wednesday evening in The Doghouse. The victory propels the Pride to 8-9 on the year and the loss drops the Bloodhounds to 11-6.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team won their first ever contest against New England Collegiate Conference opponent Endicott College 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 21-25, 25-18) on Monday evening. The win, the Crimson and Gold’s fourth in a row, moved them to 7-9 and 5-2 in the NECC. The setback was Endicott’s first conference loss since a 3-2 defeat to Southern Vermont on March 4, 2014.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team earned their first non-conference win of the 2016 campaign when they defeated Emerson College 3-2 (21-25, 29-27, 21-25, 25-17, 16-14) in five sets on Tuesday evening. The victory moved the Pride to 5-9 on the year and the loss dropped the Lions to 5-8.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team defeated Newbury College in four sets, 3-1, in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action, Thursday evening. Sophomore utility Marcos Aguirre (Norwalk, Calif.) led three in double figures notching a match-high 17 kills on 32 attempts with just six errors to take the season series from the Nighthawks.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball split a tri-match against New England Collegiate Conference opponent Elms College and non-conference foe Rivier University on Saturday afternoon. The Crimson and Gold earned the 3-1 (25-12, 26-24, 20-25, 25-18) league win over the Blazers, but dropped a 3-2 (19-25, 26-24, 11-25, 25-19, 9-15) five set thriller against the Raiders. The split moved the hosts to 3-9 and 3-2 in the NECC.

    The Regis College men’s volleyball team couldn’t keep up with the efficient hitting of New England Collegiate Conference opponent Endicott College as the Gulls left Higgins Court with a 3-0 (25-18, 26-24, 25-16) victory over the Pride Wednesday evening. The win, pushed the visitors to over .500 at 7-6 and 2-0 NECC and the loss dropped Regis to 2-8, 2-2 NECC.

The Pride improve to 2-7, 2-1 NECC and the loss drops the Lynx to 0-2, 0-1 NECC.

    Senior outside hitter Drew Jordan (Braintree, Mass.) had a match-high 16 kills while also recording five digs and two blocks as Emmanuel College defeated non-conference opponent Regis College 3-0 (16-25, 18-25, 18-25) in the Pride’s home opener Thursday evening on Higgins Court. With the victory, the Saints get their first win of the year (1-0) and the loss was Regis’ second (0-2) on the campaign.

With the win, the Engineers raised their ledger to 4-0 while the Pride fell to 0-1.
