NEWTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference games on Saturday afternoon in a tri-match with Anna Maria College and host Lasell College. The Pride dropped a 3-0 result to the Lasers but picked up a 3-1 win over the Amcats on the afternoon to even their record at 7-7 overall.

Regis captured a four-set victory over Anna Maria after defeating the Amcats by scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-17 and 25-21. The victory marked the third of the season for Regis against Anna Maria, and the second time they won in four sets.

Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) led the way for Regis with a match-high 20 kills and four service aces while adding 13 digs in the victory. Zach Sindoni (Haverhill, Mass.) finished with 14 kills, 2.5 blocks and a match-best 19 digs for the Pride while Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) tallied 41 assists in the contest and Manny Calderon (Bristol, Conn.) notched a match-high four total blocks.

Dylan Copeland (Haverhill, Mass.) paced Anna Maria for the second straight match with team-highs of eight kills and 10 digs. Ty Discoe (Pittsfield, Mass.) added seven kills and two total blocks for Anna Maria and Michael Gaudelli (Hicksville, N.Y.) handed out 20 assists.

The Pride fell to Lasell via set scores of 25-15, 25-16 and 25-10 behind a .232 hitting percentage and 13 service aces in the match.

Drew Caruso (Haverhill, Mass.) keyed the Lasell attack with six kills, three aces and two total blocks, Abdulrehman Khan (Karachi, Pakistan) chipped in five kills, Dan Raffol (Natick, Mass.) notched six aces to go with three kills and Matt Dugan (New Lenox, Ill.) finished with a match-high nine digs.

Sindoni tallied seven kills for Regis in the match and Joe Hanrahan (Coventry, R.I.) totaled 10 assists for the Pride in the losing effort.  

After a short break, the Pride return to action on March 12th when they visit NECC foe Southern Vermont College for a 7:00 p.m. match.
