ANDY WHITE EARNS ONLY WIN OF NIGHT FOR REGIS COLLEGE

WESTON, Mass.—Andy White (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman) won his singles match versus J.D. Moyer of Curry College in the third singles position to give Regis College men’s tennis its only victory Wednesday. The Pride lost 8-1 to Curry, and fell to 1-11 overall, and 1-5 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

The win was Curry’s first victory of the 2011 season. White and teammate Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) joined in the No. 1 doubles position to face Tyler Dulmage and Tyler Collins. Regis would lose 9-7 in that doubles match-up, and drop its second and third doubles also. Dan Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass.) and Sophorm Nop (Lowell, Mass.) were in close contention in the No. 2 doubles position, as the pair would fall 9-7 as well.

Parrish battled in the No. 1 singles position, but lost 7-6 in two sets given a competitive effort on his part.

The Pride will travel to Nichols (April 9) to face the Bison in TCCC competition before returning home April 10 to take on Lesley University.
