MEN'S TENNIS TO TAKE ON GOLDEN BEARS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College men’s tennis team will be taking on Western New England College Tuesday (Mar. 29) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. The Pride enters the contest with an overall record of 1-6 and is 1-2 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. The Golden Bears enter the contest with and overall record of 4-2 and will be competing in their first TCCC matchup of the season.

The Pride are led by freshman Andy White (Bozeman, Mont./Bozeman) and Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass./Framingham) who are strong on court leaders for the team. Daniel Berdichevsky (Wayland, Mass./Wayland) will look to step his game up for the Pride as he progresses through the season. Teammates Matt Smolko (Pelham, NH/Lowell Catholic) and Mouhamed Diallo (Boston, Mass./Cours Sainte Marie de Hann) will look to have a solid performance in team doubles. Sophorn Nop (Lowell, Mass./Lowell Catholic )  and Jonathan Dost (Taunton, Mass./Coyle Cassidy)will give the Pride added depth for the season.

The Golden Bears will be led by captains Mike Jones (Ridge, NY./ Rondout Valley Stone and Brian Relihan (Orange, Conn./ Amity Woodbridge). Jones and Relihan are solid performers in the singles game and will look to perform well in doubles play. The Golden Bears will look for strong play from sophomore Chris Holzinger (Foster, RI) and junior JonPaul Ouellette (Bethlehem, Conn.) who will be playing at number two doubles.

The Match is set to start at 3:30 p.m. and will be played at the Regis College Athletic Courts.
