Regis Men’s Swim Team Drops Double Dual Meet

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Regis College men's swim team lost to both Babson College (157-23) and Norwich University (182-35) in a collegiate double dual meet Saturday afternoon hosted by the Cadets at the Goodyear Pool.

The Pride were led by Grant Kollien (Acton, Mass.) and Brendan Pike (Weymouth, Mass.), each of whom earned a second-place finish in an individual event. After finishing sixth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:58.23, Kollien touched the wall second in the 500 freestyle, posting a mark of 5:18.94.

Pike first finished second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:04.15 before a fifth place finish in the 500 freestyle in 5:24.58. Pike also anchored the 200 freestyle relay, posting the team's fastest 50 free split at 24.70 seconds to help Kollien, Gueincy Clodomir (Pembroke Park, Fla.), and Michael Case (Watertown, Mass.) to a fourth place finish with an overall time of 1:40.16.

Regis (1-3) will enjoy a weekend without competition before hosting Saint Joseph's College Friday evening, Nov. 22, beginning at 6 p.m.
