Maria Krull joined the Regis College field hockey program as an assistant coach starting in the 2019-20 academic year.

During the 2019 season, Krull assisted in the improvement of the team, as the Pride won five more games over the previous year. Led by GNAC Rookie of the Year Sheridan Blaha, Regis qualified for the GNAC Tournament for the first time since joining the league, advancing to the semifinals. 

Krull, a native of Leicester, Mass., returns close to home after her stint as both a student-athlete and the director of operations for the Colgate University field hockey program. In her senior year, she was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and earned Second Team All-Mideast Region honors from the NFHCA after posting a 2.54 goals against average and a .786 save percentage. She finished the 2017 season second in the nation in saves per game (9.7) and total saves (165) as well as seventh in Division I in save percentage. She is fourth on Colgate’s all-time list for career saves with 545.

Krull graduated from Colgate in 2018 with her bachelor’s degree in biology. She was a three-time member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad and the Raider Academic Honor Roll.
