Thursday Pride Field Hockey Match Postponed

WESTON, Mass. – With the forecast calling for a wet and windy Saturday, forcing several collegiate athletic events to be moved to Friday, the collegiate field hockey match between Eastern Connecticut State and Regis College scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 25, has been postponed.

Eastern Connecticut State has one Little East Conference regular season match to play before the start of the conference tournament next week. In order to get that match in, the Warriors have agreed to play league rival Framingham State Friday, Oct. 26, moving that contest up one day from its originally scheduled date of Saturday, Oct. 27.

Not wanting to play on consecutive days, the Warriors asked the Pride to postpone Thursday's match until next week. Regis officials agreed to the request and will now await the results of the Little East matches over the weekend to determine exactly when next week the Pride will host the Warriors.

Further updates about this field hockey match, as well as any other schedule changes resulting from Saturday's prediction of potential heavy rain and high winds, can be found on the official Regis Athletics website (www.goregispride.com) or by following the Pride on Twitter (@GoRegisPride).
