REGIS PLACES 20 ON FALL NECC ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM
20 members of the Regis College fall teams have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference Fall All-Academic Team, announced on Wednesday night. The Pride had at least one athlete recognized in every fall sport the College sponsors.
WESTON, Mass. – 20 members of the Regis College fall teams have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference Fall All-Academic Team, announced on Wednesday night. The Pride had at least one athlete recognized in every fall sport the College sponsors, and it is the program's highest number of recognized athletes since Regis joined the NECC in 2011.
A total of 194 student-athletes were named to All-Academic Team for the 2014 fall semester. To be eligible for the NECC Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must post a minimum grade point average of 3.40 on a scale of 4.00, and must be a sophomore or higher in class standings. Student-athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, men's golf, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball were eligible for fall NECC academic honors.
