Women’s Cross Country Race in New England Regionals

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Regis College women's cross country team ran in the NCAA New England Regional Championships at Bowdoin Saturday, concluding the cross country season.

Maddie Boucias (Buckland, Mass.) finished the six-kilometer course in 24:23.44, a new season best. Maggie Mann (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) finished in 24:27.93, just under 10 seconds off her pace set at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship.

Ashleigh Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) ran the course in 25:03.25, while Erin Kelley (Stoneham, Mass.) finished her outing in 26:51.6. Both runners finished with new season-best 6k times. Lizzy Melvin (Southington, Conn.) finished the race with a new personal record of 28:03.65.

As a team, Regis finished in 36th place with 1095 points. Most members of the cross country season will now begin preparations for the indoor track and field season.
