REGIS GRABS TWO WINS SATURDAY MORNING

POTSDAM, N.Y. - The Regis College women's volleyball team got back on track, defeating Johnson State College and Maine Fort Kent on Saturday afternoon. The Pride wrap up the weekend at 5-4 overall.

Regis used set scores of 25-9, 25-12, and 25-18 in the 3-0 win over Johnson State, and followed that up with a 3-1 win over Fort Kent by set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-14, and 25-21.

Sydney Trusty (Durham, Conn.) led the Pride attack JSC, posting 10 kills in the match. Rachel Bartels (Edinburg, Texas) and Nicole Connolly (San Mateo, Calif.) added five kills apiece, while Emily DeBarros (Brockton, Mass.) and Courtney Mosher (Taunton, Mass.) each had four kills. Crystina Lathrop (Houston, Texas) handed out a match-high 14 assists to go with four digs and five aces.

Shay Faber (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) led the Pride defense with nine digs, with Graciella Molinari (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) adding eight of her own.

DeBarros led Regis against Maine Fort Kent with a double-double of 11 kills and 12 digs. Connolly also had a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs en route to All-Tournament Team honors. Trusty and Molinari had nine kills apiece, with Trusty also adding 10 digs.

Crystina Lathrop dished out 31 assists and added 16 digs.

The Crimson and Gold host Mount Ida College on Tuesday night in the Pride's home opener at 7:00 p.m.
