Four Personal Bests Highlight Women's Track & Field At Hemery Invite

BOSTON – Three runners posted personal bests in the 400 meter to highlight Day 1 for the Regis (Mass.) women's track and field team at the David Hemery Invitational hosted by Boston University on Saturday at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

Bernice Boateng (1:06.64), Nyah Webb (1:07.76) and Cassie Froio (1:10.32) all bested their previous top times in the 400 meter race. Abby Flaherty was the top finisher for the Pride with a time of 1:03.68.

Abigail Cooke was the fourth Pride runner to set a personal best, doing so in the 60 meter with a time of 10.96 seconds.

On the throws side, five members competed in the shot put with Kate Cowden highlighting the group with an 11th-place finish (11.76 meters). ChiChi Akanegbu (11.08), Elisabeth Cooke (10.40), Liz Ksepka (10.26) and Elliana Boebel (9.22 meters) were the other team members to post results in the shot.

Day 2 of the Invitational features the men's competitions with the first events beginning at 11:00 a.m.
