PRIDE EARN #1 SEED IN NECC TOURNEY

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's tennis team was named the #1 seed by the New England Collegiate Conference offices for the upcoming NECC Women's Tennis Championship Tournament on Thursday afternoon.

The Crimson and Gold (11-1, 10-0 NECC) are looking for their fourth straight NECC Championship. Last year, they defeated Becker College 9-0 in the Semifinals and Lesley University 7-2 in the championship game en route to the third conference title in program history.

The Pride also have a 34 match win streak against NECC opponents. The last time Regis lost a conference contest was a 6-3 setback to Becker on October 1, 2012.

#1 Regis will host #4 Bay Path University on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. on the Regis Tennis Courts and the winner will move onto the championship match to face the winner of the #2 Becker/#3 Lesley contest on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
