WESTON, Mass. – Regis College junior Jessie Lord (Fall River, Mass.) has been named this week's New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis Player of the Week, it was announced Monday afternoon.
Lord helped lead the Pride to their first New England Collegiate Conference win of the year, a 9-0 sweep of Lesley. Lord and Erica Murphy (Portsmouth, N.H.) teamed for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles before Lord grabbed a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles.
The Pride return to action Tuesday afternoon and hope to keep their 27 match conference win streak intact when they travel to Bay Path University with game-time slated for 3:30 p.m.
