PRIDE POSTS SECOND-STRAIGHT 7-2 WIN

LONGMEADOW, Mass. – For the second straight day, Regis College defeated Bay Path College, 7-2, in New England Collegiate Conference women's tennis action in Longmeadow, Mass. Sunday's match was the conclusion of a match started on September 21 that had been postponed following doubles play due to rain.

The Pride improve to 8-2 overall with the win and remain a perfect 7-0 in NECC play. The Wildcats drop to 8-4 and 5-2 in league games.

Regis won two of the three doubles matches back on September 21 as Abbie Wehr and Emily Rice posted an 8-2 win over Symone Watson and Stephanie Morin in No. 1 doubles. Jewel Medeiros and Jessie Lord picked up a win in No. 2 doubles by the same score.

On Sunday, the Pride grabbed five of the six singles matches for the 7-2 win. Abbie Wehr forced a third set and improved to 9-1 in No. 1 singles this year with a 6-7, 6-4, 10-6 win. Emily Rice, Jewel Medeiros, Jessie Lord, and Erica Murphy won their respective matches.

The Pride wrap up the 2013 regular season on Friday afternoon with a 3:30 p.m. match at Mitchell College.
