WOMEN'S TENNIS HAS TOUGH OPENING DAY VERSUS HAWKS

WESTON, Mass.—The Regis College women's tennis team lost to Becker College Thursday (Sept. 2) at the Regis College Athletic Fields. The Hawks were led by Danielle Stryker (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard) and Shuana McNally (Worcester, Mass./Bourne) winning their doubles match 8-0.

For the Pride, doubles partners Ally Kuchera (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) and Mary Jane Barron (Whitinsville, Mass./Holy Name) scored two points. This was not enough to hold off the Hawks duo of Megan Nessen (Levittown, Pa./Harry S. Truman) and Laura Mimms (Ashland, Mass./Ashland). 

In singles freshman Paige Pasley (Dorchester, Mass./Fonntbonne Academy) Forced a third game with the Hawks Lianna Woodbury(Dennis, Mass./Dennis-Yarmouth). 

The Pride is set to play Endicott College this Saturday at 12:00 p.m., while Becker College competes against Clark College Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
