PRIDE TALLY TWO WINS IN 7-2 LOSS TO CURRY COLLEGE

Weston, Mass.-In its third The Commonwealth Coast Conference match, Regis College (0-5, 0-3 TCCC) fell 7-2 to Curry College (2-3, 2-2 TCCC). Megan McCarthy (Norfolk, Mass.) is undefeated in 17 conference singles matches dating to the 2008 season.

Regis teammates Caitlin Fitzgerald (Lynn, Mass.) and Georgia Coward (Hopkinton, Mass.) picked up the teams first doubles win of the season. The pair would defeat the Colonels' Elizabeth Silsby (Dorset, V.T.) and Kathleen D'Andrea (Dudley, Mass.) 8-4.

Cowart and Fitzgerald fell in singles to Kathleen Rush (Waterbury, Conn.) 6-1, 7-5, and Allison Weisenbach (Hamden, Conn.) 6-2, 6-4 respectively.

Curry captain Lauren Maloney (Feeding Hills, Mass.) lost in a 6-0, 6-0 match to the Pride's McCarthy, who is 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the TCCC this season. McCarthy was a 2008 TCCC co-player and rookie of the week.

Courtney Sullivan (Dover, NH) left the Pride's MJ Barron (Whitinsville, Mass.) pointless, defeating Barron 6-0, 6-0 in the fifth position.

Curry and Regis continue TCCC play when the teams face Gordon College and Wentworth respectively on Sept. 19.
