TEANNA MONTOYA TO JOIN WOMEN'S TENNIS PROGRAM

Weston, Mass.—Regis College head coach John Ciarleglio recently announced that Teanna Montoya (Edgartown, Mass.) plans to play for the women’s tennis team this fall. Montoya’s skills on the court earned her a spot on the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School varsity team.

Montoya has been playing the sport since she was 12 years old, and competed in weekend tournaments for the local Boys and Girls Club, and Vineyard Youth Tennis Center. At Martha’s Vineyard Regional High she has being playing in the first doubles position since her freshman year.

Montoya has continued to develop her skills to create a powerful two-handed backhand, and a consistent topspin serve. Her presence on the Regis College team will add immediate depth, and needed experience.
