Pride Swim & Dive Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Awards

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis College men's and women's swimming and diving teams continue to excel both in the pool and in the classroom, as both squads have earned the Scholar All-America Team Award from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), as the complete list of honorees was released by the organization Tuesday.

To earn the honor, teams were required to post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester/quarter. In total, 118 men's programs and 171 women's programs at the NCAA Division III level posted the GPA needed to receive the award for Fall 2018.

In Fall 2018, the women's swimming and diving team finished with a 3.327 grade point average, while the men's swimming squad ended up at 3.129. They were two of the 18 Pride athletic teams to post a grade point average above 3.0 in the most recent semester.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level. 

The Regis swimming and diving teams are starting the spring semester and preparing for the GNAC Championships at Simmons University Friday, Feb. 1, through Sunday, Feb. 3.
