2019 Regis College Women's Soccer Schedule

WESTON, Mass. – Coming off the program's fifth 10-win season over the last seven years, the Regis College women's soccer team has finalized its schedule for the 2019 campaign, featuring nine home matches through September and October.

The Pride begin the season with two road matches, traveling to Boston to face Emerson College Friday afternoon, Aug. 30, and to Framingham to take on Framingham State Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 4. Last season, Regis earned its second victory over the Rams in the history of the all-time series with a 3-0 win at Regis Stadium.

Regis starts a four-match homestand against Lesley Saturday afternoon, Sept. 7, followed by a match against Curry College Wednesday night, Sept. 11, the first meeting between the Pride and the Colonels since 2010. The first Great Northeast Athletic Conference match of the season for the Pride takes place Saturday, Sept. 14, against Colby-Sawyer, before the homestand closes against Rhode Island College Tuesday night, Sept. 17.

The Pride travel to Maine for a league contest against defending GNAC champion Saint Joseph's College Saturday, Sept. 21, and then they make another trip to Boston, this time taking on UMass Boston Wednesday, Sept. 25. The women's soccer team will cap off Regis Fest Saturday, Sept. 28, by hosting Suffolk starting at 4 p.m.

Regis plays consecutive road games against Simmons Wednesday, Oct. 2, and University of St. Joseph Saturday, Oct. 5. The Pride host Rivier Wednesday evening, Oct. 9, before traveling to Connecticut for the second straight Saturday, this time facing Albertus Magnus Oct. 12.

The final stretch of home contests for the Pride starts Wednesday night, Oct. 16, against Lasell, the top team in the GNAC during the 2018 regular season. Regis hosts Anna Maria Saturday, Oct. 19, and Johnson & Wales Wednesday, Oct. 23, before wrapping up the regular season with road contests at Norwich Saturday, Oct. 26, and Emmanuel Wednesday, Oct. 30.

The top eight teams in the final regular season standings will qualify for the GNAC Tournament, with the top four seeds hosting quarterfinal matches Saturday, Nov. 2. The semifinals are scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 5, followed by the championship match Saturday, Nov. 9.

Regis College posted a 10-7 overall record in 2018, including a 7-5 mark within the GNAC. The Pride finished in a tie for fifth place in the league standings and lost to Emmanuel, 1-0, in the quarterfinals of the 2018 GNAC Tournament.
