PRIDE SET TO PLAY BLAZERS AND SCOTS

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College women’s lacrosse team is set to play the two games this week. The Pride enters the first contest against Elms College.  The Pride’s current overall record is 1-7 and 0-5 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.  The Blazers enter the contest with an overall record of 2-5 and are 0-2 in the New England Women's Lacrosse Alliance.

The Pride is led by Teresa Busiek (Arlington, Mass./Arlington Catholic) and Teresa Crevier (Milford, Mass./Montrose). Busiek is the team leader in overall points tallying 20 goals on the season and one assist. Crevier currently has 13 goals on the season and two assists.

The Pride’s defense has been led by Meghan Ryan (Stow, Mass./Iona College) and Alycia Murray (Danvers, Mass./Bishop Fenwick).  Both goaltenders have played time for the Pride between the pipes. Ryan has tallied 27 saves on the season while Murray has tallied 24

The Blazers are led by Chelsey Grabowski (South Hadley, Mass./ South Hadley)  who is the team leader in points with 19 on the season. Emily Walsh (Hadley, Mass./ Hopkins Academy) is a secondary scorer with 11 goals and two assists on the season.

The Blazers defense is led by Annette Dzidek (Chicopee, Mass./ Chicopee) who currently has 89 saves on the season for the Blazers.

The contest is to be played Monday (Apr. 4) and will be an away game for the Pride.

The Second game of the week for the Pride is against Gordon College. The Pride will host the Scots on Wednesday (Apr. 6) at 7:00 p.m. The Scots enter the contest with a record of 5-9 and are 5-6 in TCCC play. The Scots are led by Katie Knaus (Kensington, Conn.) who currently leads the team in overall points with 51 goals and six assists. Jordan Alexander (Portland, Maine) is second on the team in points with 34 goals and 14 assists. The Scots Defense is led by Amelia Vierstra (Concord, Mass.) who has 157 saves on the season.

The game is set to be played at Regis College athletic Fields and will start at 7:00 p.m.
