REGIS STAYS PERFECT IN NECC, DOWNS BAY PATH

HOLYOKE, Mass. – Regis College improved to 7-0 in the New England Collegiate Conference and improved to 10-4 overall with a 72-37 thrashing of Bay Path College (7-5, 4-2 NECC) on Thursday night at Holyoke Community College. The Pride have now won 25-straight regular season NECC contests.

Claire Ramonas (Portland, Maine) notched her second double-double of the season and 10th in her career with 12 points and 10 rebounds on the night. Monet Lowe (Framingham, Mass.) came off the bench to add a team-high 15 points and six rebounds, while Kim Daniels added 14 points of her own including four three-pointers in the win.

The Pride jumped out to an early 7-0 lead Daniels' first three-ball of the game only 2:27 into the game. After back-to-back baskets by Bay Path's Kayla Skiffington, the Pride went on a 17-3 run to open up a 24-7 lead with 11:30 remaining in the half. Regis entered the half with a comfortable 46-19 lead by shooting 61.5% (16-of-26) from the field and out-rebounding the Wildcats 21-10.

The Regis lead would get as large as 39 points as the Pride cruised to the 72-37 win. The Pride shot 58.7% from the field for the game while holding Bay Path to only 27.7%. Regis won the rebounding battle (40-24) and converted 18 Bay Path turnovers into 23 points.

Bay Path's Kayla Skiffington led all scorers with 16 points and added four rebounds. Brittney Alexander came off the bench to add nine points and four rebounds of her own.

The Pride return to action on Saturday afternoon as Regis hosts the defending NECC Champion Elms College Blazers in a 1:00 p.m. game.
