A five-run inning in the fifth notched New England’s 11-1 victory, and improved its overall record to 14-11 and 13-9 TCCC. Gabrielle Timms (Clark Summit, Pa./Lakeland) blasted a two-run homerun in the first inning for the Pilgrims first score of the game.

(Apr. 7) – Senior Kara Buckley (Nashua, N.H.) threw her first career no-hitter in the nightcap to lead the Nichols College softball team to a The Commonwealth Coast Conference sweep of visiting Regis Thursday afternoon. Buckley, who fanned six and walked only one in seven innings, led Nichols to a 7-0 second-game victory after Nichols held off a mid-game Regis rally for a 5-2 win in the opener. The Bison improve to 11-10 overall and 7-3 in TCCC games. Regis falls to 1-24 overall and 0-14 in league play.

NEWPORT, R.I. – Freshman Jennifer Edine (Warwick, R.I.) drove in three runs in game one and sophomore Jillian Quintana (Denver, Colo.) belted a three-run home run in game two in Salve Regina University’s doubleheader sweep of Regis (Mass.) College in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) softball action Sunday afternoon at Toppa Field. The Seahawks won game one, 8-0, in six innings and game two, 10-0, in five innings.
WESTON, Mass.—Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass./Milton) pitched a no-hitter Saturday to helpd Endicott College (8-4, 2-0 TCCC) to two The Commonwealth Coast Conference wins. Endicott defeated Regis College (1-14, 0-4 TCCC) 11-0 in game one, and 12-0 in game two. Both games ended in five innings.
WESTON, Mass.—Regis College tallied a season-high 12 runs Friday to defeat Newbury College 12-8 in non-conference softball. Regis College (1-12, 0-2 TCCC) had 11 hits and 10 runs batted in as a team. Hope Benjamin (Rochester, Mass.) had a team-high five RBIs, and scored two runs in five at bats. She also had her third homerun of the season.

Weston, Mass.—The Regis College softball team is set to take on Eastern Nazarene College Wednesday (Mar. 23). The Pride enters the contest with a record of 0-10, while the visiting Lions enter the contest with a record of 2-8.
