WESTON, Mass. – The Regis (Mass.) men's volleyball team returned to its winning ways, snapping a four-match skid to keep a share of first place in the New England Collegiate Conference with a 25-7, 25-13, 25-15 win over Southern Vermont, Friday at Higgins Court.

Brett Krahl (Santa Clarita, Calif.) drilled a match-high 14 kills and hit at an exceptional .706 (14-2-17) clip. The Pride as a team were dominant at the net, forcing the Mountaineers to hit minus-.057 for the evening.

Te Hayward (Baltimore, Md.) posted five kills to lead the SVC (3-16, 1-4 NECC) effort with Elmer Olivares (Miami, Fla.) adding three kills and three digs.

The Pride (9-11, 5-0 NECC) opened the match with a dominant first-set win, using a 9-0 run midway through the frame to win going away. Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.) ripped back-to-back kills in the run which was capped by three straight aces from Krahl to help Regis to an 18-5 lead. Bisnett later added another kill and sealed the win with an ace.

Regis kept it rolling in set two. Krahl drilled a pair of kills early to lift his team to an 8-3 lead. The Pride never looked back as the lead swelled to nine before both teams traded points for a brief stretch. Regis then closed the set out in a flurry with six straight points.

Set three proved to be more of a formality as the Pride once again dominated en route to completing the sweep. Regis broke a 4-4 tie with an 8-0 run before cruising to the win.
