WESTON, Mass. – Following a 17 day layoff, Regis College defeated Lesley University 3-0 on Tuesday night in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's volleyball action in Weston, Mass. The Pride used set scores of 25-14, 25-7, and 25-17 in the win. The Crimson and Gold improve to 8-7 overall and 2-3 in the NECC, while Lesley falls to 0-13 and 0-6 in league games.

Regis had three players reach double-digits in kills led by 12 kills from Sean Bisnett (Oxnard, Calif.). Mitchel Ulacco (Winchester, Mass.) set up the Lynx attack with 15 assists on the night.

In the opening set, Regis forced a Lesley timeout after taking a 12-6 lead on a Joe Coye kill. The Lynx clawed back into it to make it 16-12 following a pair of Pride attack errors, but Regis ended the game on a 9-2 run to take the opening game, 25-14.

A Tyler Burns service ace for the Lynx made it a 6-4 deficit early in the second set, but the Pride would score 11-straight points to take a commanding 20-4 lead. Bisnett served on 10 of the 11 points, picking up three service aces during the run. Regis would score five of the final eight points en route to the 25-7 win in game two.

Lesley hung around in the third in final game after a Melvin Morales kill kept the Lynx within striking distance at 10-6. Four-straight points by the Pride would force a Lesley timeout, and Regis eventually held a 19-11 lead following a Lesley attack error. Back-to-back kills from Morales cut the lead to 19-13, and the teams would trade points the rest of the way, as the Pride hung on for the 25-17 win and the 3-0 sweep of the Lynx.
