FLYNN TABBED AS REGIS TRACK & FIELD COACH

WESTON, Mass. – Regis College is proud to announce the hiring of Dan Flynn as the newest addition to the athletic staff as the Head Coach of Cross Country and Track and Field. Coach Flynn joins the Pride after working at Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass., where he led the women's cross country team to five NECC Championships in five years, and the men's team to four conference championships.

In that time, he coached six different individual NECC Champions and was named Coach of the Year three times. In addition to starting cross country, Flynn also started the Lesley track program where he went on to coach distance and sprints. In the program's short existence, he coached student-athletes to the New England Division III Championships as well as the ECAC Championships for both indoor and outdoor seasons.

Flynn is excited for this next chapter in his career, "I am very honored to be chosen to lead Regis' cross country and track programs. I see so much potential in the athletes here and we have a chance to accomplish great things. The expectations will be set high and I am confident that we will meet all of our goals."

Every August, Flynn is the Director of the Stowe Running Camp located in Stowe, Vt., instructing high school runners from all over New England. He owns his own running company training personal clients to run marathons and also sits on the Board of Directors of the New England Distance Project.

"This is my dream job and I cannot wait to work with the student-athletes and help them reach their goals," Flynn added.

The track and field teams return to action on January 12 with a meet at Tufts University.
