CLOSE MATCH ENDS WITH PRIDE LOSS

WESTON, Mass.—Regis College men’s tennis battled to within one match with Lesley University Sunday, but would fall 5-4 to the Lynx. Regis College won all of its doubles matches against the undefeated Lesley University Lynx.

Teammates Jeffrie Parrish (Framingham, Mass.) and Andy White (Bozeman, Mont.) took down their doubles opponents 8-6. The pair have tallied two wins this season competing as the No. 1 doubles team.

Daniel Berdchivsky (Wayland, Mass.) and Sophorn Nop (Lowell, Mass.) defeated their Lesley opponents 9-7 for Regis’ second win.

In a match that Regis College was on the verge of winning, the Pride played tough against Lesley but lost in crucial moments where points mattered.

The Pride will return to the court April 12 to face Eastern Nazarene, a The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent.
