Rainville Wins Bob Muir Senior High Point Swimmer Award

WESTON, Mass. - Senior Nick Rainville (Reading, Mass.) of the Regis (Mass.) men's swimming and diving teams has been named the co-recipient of the Bob Muir Senior High Point Swimmer Award by the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association.

Rainville won the 100 yard butterfly and the 100 yard freestyle at the New England Championships last weekend, setting the program record with a time of 46.54 seconds in the freestyle. Andrew Gillie of Roger Williams also won the award.

Rainville was also one of 11 Pride swimmers to be named All-New England after the meet. To qualify for the All-New England Team, a swimmer or diver had to have finished in the top eight of an individual race or the top four of a relay.

On the men's side, Paul Brennan (Rumford, R.I.), Grant Kollien (Acton, Mass.), Rainville, Connor Schwarze (Melrose, Mass.), and Josh Unas (Santa Clarita, Calif.) were named All-New England, with women's All-New England honors going to Ashlyn DeRoche (North Reading, Mass.), Jessica Higgins (Peabody, Mass.), Sarah Leonard (Brockton, Mass.), Elisabeth McQuaid (Marlborough, Mass.), Gloria Sutton (Suffield, Conn.), and Jessica Zernitsky (Newton, Mass.).
