WESTON, Mass. – Regis College freshman Joshua Unas (Santa Clarita, Calif.) has been named this week's Collegeswimming.com New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association (NEISDA) Men's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Unas scored 27 points and earned three first place finishes in the Crimson and Gold's 144-74 victory over Colby-Sawyer College on Saturday afternoon. He placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.24, before finishing ahead of the field in the 100-yard butterfly with a mark of 56.99. He capped his individual day with a first-place effort in the 100-yard breaststroke on a time of 1:06.30.
The Regis College Swimming & Diving team returns to the pool this weekend as they travel to New England Collegiate Conference opponent Elms College on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
