MEN'S SWIMMING AND DIVING PROJECTED FOR SECOND PLACE FINISH

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College women's swimming & diving team has been pegged for a second place finish in the upcoming 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship while the Pride men have been selected for second place finish in the 2015 GNAC Men's Swimming & Diving Invitational.

The Pride women earned 42 points in the poll conducted by the leagues head coaches while the Pride men, earned 20 points and one first place vote.

For the women, Simmons took home first place in the poll with 49 points and all seven first place votes. New England Collegiate Conference foe Elms is projected to finish third with 28 points. Saint Joseph's (Maine) earned 26 points and the fourth place spot while Husson (21 points), St. Joseph (Conn.) (20 points) and Norwich (10 points) rounded out the rest of the poll.

On the men's side, Norwich was awarded the top spot as the Cadets received 24 points and four first place votes. Elms earned 16 points and a possible third place finish. Husson and Saint Joseph's (Maine) rounded out the poll with eight and seven points respectively.

The GNAC Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday at Simmons College in Boston.
