QUINCY, Mass. - Regis College picked up a 1-0 victory in a midweek match to Eastern Nazarene College in men's soccer action Wednesday evening at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Pride improves to 5-8-2 on the year, while the Lions slip to 2-11-0.

The two sides headed into the halftime intermission deadlocked at 0-0. Regis held a 6-4 advantage in shots and a 3-2 edge in corner kicks through the opening 45 minutes of play.

The Pride netted the game's first goal in the 53rd minute to seize a 1-0 edge. Mike Panagiotakos (Methuen, Mass.) poked home his first of the season, knocking in a free kick service by Alex Caliendo (Windsor, Conn.).

Eastern Nazarene pressed for a late equalizer but could not find the back of the net.

The visitors finished the match with 13 shots while the Lions recorded nine in the contest. The Lions earned four corner kicks in the second stanza to conclude the game with a 6-3 margin.

Pacifique Jabiro (Portland, Maine) and Scott Hansen (Middletown Spring, Vt.) generated three shots each on the day to lead the home team. Jared Corbin (Fallston, Md.) and Jabiro each registered one shot on goal in the match.

Jake Johnson stopped four shots in goal for Eastern Nazarene, while Manny Calderon (Bristol, Conn. tallied a pair of saves between the posts for Regis in the victory.

Regis returns to action on Saturday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. match at Southern Vermont College
