FIDALGO NAMED NECC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Regis College’s Josh Fidalgo (Dorchester, Mass.) has been named the NECC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon. Fidalgo helped lead the Pride to a 2-1 week with wins over Mount Ida and Suffolk University.
WESTON, Mass. – Regis College’s Josh Fidalgo (Dorchester, Mass.) has been named the NECC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday afternoon. Fidalgo helped lead the Pride to a 2-1 week with wins over Mount Ida and Suffolk University.
In the Pride’s first game of the year, Fidalgo netted the game winning goal in a 1-0 win over the Mustangs of Mount Ida. Two days later, as a part of the Regis College Pride Cup, Fidalgo played the hero again, scoring on a header in the 108th minute of play to propel the Pride into the Championship game. Fidalgo currently leads the Pride in shots on goal (8) and goals with a pair of tallies this season.
The Crimson and Gold return to action on Wednesday night when they travel to the campus of Emerson College for a 5:30 p.m. matchup with the Lions.
