2019 Regis College Men's Lacrosse Schedule

WESTON, Mass. – The Regis College men's lacrosse team is slated to play 13 matches during the 2019 season, as the schedule for the upcoming campaign has been finalized.

The Pride will open the season at Regis Stadium against Becker College Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 4 p.m. Regis will then play three straight road contests, starting with a trip to Dean College to face the Bulldogs Sunday, March 3, at 11 a.m.

Regis heads to Salem State to take on the Vikings Thursday, March 7, at 4 p.m., before concluding the road swing at Mitchell College Wednesday, March 13, also at 4 p.m. The Pride will open Great Northeast Athletic Conference play Saturday, March 16, at 12 p.m. against Lasell, tied for the best league record in the regular season at 8-1 last year as part of a 9-7 overall record.

The Pride will hit the road on consecutive Tuesdays, first traveling to Albertus Magnus March 19 for a 7 p.m. start, followed by a trip to Emmanuel March 26, also with a 7 p.m. start time. Regis next plays on its home field Saturday, March 30, beginning at 1 p.m. against Saint Joseph's College, followed by a non-conference contest against Thomas College at home Wednesday, April 3, at 4 p.m.

Regis heads to Anna Maria for a conference match against the AMCATs Tuesday, April 9, at 7 p.m., followed by a home game Saturday, April 13, at 3:30 p.m. against Norwich, the other team with an 8-1 GNAC record in 2018 as the Cadets finished 13-6 overall. The Pride travels to Johnson & Wales to face the defending GNAC Tournament champion Wildcats Tuesday, April 16, at 7 p.m., before wrapping up the regular season at home against Rivier Tuesday, April 23, at 7 p.m.

The top eight teams in the final GNAC regular season standings will advance into the conference tournament, with the quarterfinals scheduled for Saturday, April 27. The semifinals will take place Tuesday, April 30, and then the championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed Saturday, May 4, with a berth into the NCAA Tournament on the line.

Regis is looking to improve after compiling a 4-11 record last season, including a 2-7 mark within the GNAC to finish in a tie for eighth place in the standings. Randy Fraser enters his fourth season as head coach, with help from assistant coaches Jared Arntzen, Tom Keller, and Greg Rogowski.
