Men's Lacrosse Chosen Seventh in GNAC Preseason Poll

WINTHROP, Mass. - The defending New England Collegiate Conference champions will have a lot to prove as the transition into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference this season, as the Regis (Mass.) men's lacrosse team was selected to finish seventh in the GNAC Preseason Poll as announced by the conference on Wednesday afternoon.

Lasell, the reigning GNAC Champion, took the top spot in the poll, securing seven of 10 first place votes for 97 points. It was a tight race for second, with Johnson & Wales, Norwich, and Mount Ida - all receiving one first place vote - separated by just six points.

Emmanuel narrowly edged out Saint Joseph's (Me.) to land in fifth place in the poll, while the Pride narrowly edged out Rivier for seventh. Rounding out the poll were Albertus Magnus and Anna Maria, who tied for ninth place with 15 points.

The Pride will open its 2018 season by hosting Dean College on February 24 at Regis Stadium.
