Michaela Tosone just completed her first year as the assistant of athletic administration and coordinator of member services within the Regis College athletics department. 

Tosone’s main duties include overseeing the athletic facility’s schedule, supervising the building’s student workers, handling the department’s expenses, and managing all outside memberships. During her second year, she picked up a new responsibility serving as the recruiting liaison and academic coordinator for the Swimming & Diving and Tennis programs.

Over the course of Tosone’s time, she has played a strategic role in the planning of several key events such as the 2019 Regis Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony, the 2019 GNAC Conference Meetings, and the 2019 Women’s Basketball Tribute Reception. Tosone also assisted in the candidate search for the college’s new Associate VP for Inclusive Excellence and Chief Diversity Officer.

A native of Walpole, Mass., Tosone was a captain and fundraising director for the women’s ice hockey team at UMass Amherst. She was a two-time All-Conference selection by the American Collegiate Hockey Association as well as a three-time honoree on the ACHA All-Academic Team. She graduated from UMass Amherst with a double major in sport management and communication.

Over two years, Tosone was the director of operations for the women’s ice hockey team at the College of the Holy Cross, helping the Crusaders make the transition to Hockey East. Her primary responsibilities included serving as the team’s travel and video coordinator, assisting with recruiting efforts, budget demands, and alumni relations.
