Pam Roecker is entering her seventh year as Dean of Athletics at Regis College, overseeing the Pride athletic department consisting of 20 teams in NCAA Division III and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.

During her time at Regis, Roecker has guided the Pride athletics program to new heights in several areas. She led the program through its transition into the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The Pride have won four GNAC team championships so far in her tenure. Academically, Regis has placed over 100 student-athletes on the GNAC All-Academic Team in five consecutive years, leading the conference in honorees in both 2020-21 and 2021-22. Roecker currently serves as the GNAC sport chair for women's basketball and previously led the AD's Council.

Prior to Regis, Roecker served as the Director of Athletics and Recreation for GNAC member Emmanuel College in Boston from 2003 to 2015 while also serving as an adjunct faculty member for Sports Management.

Over her career at Emmanuel, she was the Chair of the GNAC Women’s Basketball Committee, a member of the NCAA Men’s Regional Golf Advisory Committee, the ECAC Women’s Lacrosse Selection Committee and the Emmanuel College Retention Committee. Roecker also played a major role in the renovation of the Roberto Clemente Field project which was done in partnership with the City of Boston. 

Roecker was also active in the NACWAA organization through membership on the Legislative & Governance Committee, the Membership Committee and the Nominating Committee from 2012 to 2015.  She also played a key role in the WNBA’s decision to hold their 2006 pre-draft camp at Emmanuel, which was held in conjunction with Boston hosting the Women’s Basketball Final Four.

She was recognized by her peers in the GNAC as the Executive of the Year in 2014-15. 

Additionally, she spent two years (2015 to 2017) as the Athletic Director at Gann Academy in Waltham. During the 2015-16 academic year she led Gann to the most championships in school history.

Over the breadth of her career, Roecker also can boast extensive coaching experience. Her basketball resume includes assistant coaching positions at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and Seton Hall University.

In 1990, Roecker was named the head coach of the women's basketball team at Wagner College in New York City. The second winningest coach in Wagner history, Roecker was recognized as the New York State Division I Coach of the Year for 1997-98. In 1998, she was appointed the head coach for Loyola University in Chicago where she coached for one season before leaving for full-time administrative duties.

Administratively, she gained significant Division I experience while at Wagner College. Throughout her 12-year tenure she held all of these various positions:  Assistant Athletic Director, Senior Woman Administrator, Associate Athletic Director and Compliance Coordinator. Wagner provided Roecker with the opportunity to serve on the Gender-Equity Sub-Committee, Chair of the Northeast Conference SWA Committee (2002-2003), and on the Northeast Conference Budgetary Committee.  

In addition, for the last 20 years, Roecker has served as a television broadcaster for college basketball games for the Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial Athletic Association and Northeast Conference, appearing on a variety of networks including ESPNU, Fox, CBS College Sports, MSG, Big East Digital Network, ESPN+, ESPN3, Comcast SportsNet and NESN. Over the last two seasons, Roecker has served as the lead analyst for the Providence College Friars for their home Big East contests.

Roecker has also been invited to participate in a number of events, including emceeing the WBCA/New Balance viewing party at the Division I Women’s Basketball Final Four for three consecutive years (2007-09). Also, for four consecutive summers (1999 to 2002), Roecker was the lead “coach on the floor” working with Shaquille O’Neal and Grant Hill at Nestle Crunch “Hot Shot” events. Her alma mater also asked her back to emcee their “No Limits” fundraising banquet for women’s athletics in 2004 & 2005.

Roecker graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay. She was a two-time captain of the basketball team and a 1,000-point scorer, plus she is still the Phoenix’s all-time leader in single-game, single-season and career assists. In 1983, she became the University’s first female Academic All-American. In 1995, she was inducted into the University's Hall of Fame. She was inducted into the Madison (Wisc.) Sports Hall of Fame in the summer of 2023. 

Roecker holds a Master's of Business Administration from Wagner, and a B.A. in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
