Dr. Elizabeth Conant, a member of the Regis College community since 2010, was appointed to the position of Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) in 2018. Dr. Conant serves as the liaison between the Pride athletics department and the Regis College faculty. Dr. Conant is currently the program director and assistant professor of sport management, a title she has held since 2015. In addition, she is the Chair of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) FAR group. In her role as FAR, Dr. Conant has collaborated with the Regis athletics department on several initiatives, including academic advising, the Team Mentoring program, DIII Week, and National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

Dr. Conant came to Regis in 2010 as an adjunct faculty member within the health and fitness studies department, plus she served as head coach of both the women's soccer and women's lacrosse teams. She led the Pride soccer team from 2010 to 2014, compiling a 43-40-8 (.518) record in five seasons, highlighted by the 2012 season in which she was named NECC Coach of the Year after leading Regis to a second place finish within the league at 6-1-2 as part of an 11-4-3 overall record. She also coached women's lacrosse for three seasons, leading the Pride to the NECC championship in 2013 at 13-6 overall, including 5-0 within the league, on her way to NECC Coach of the Year honors in that sport. 

Before Regis, Dr. Conant worked as an athletic administrator in independent schools for ten years. She was the Director of Athletics at Miss Porter’s School in Farmington, Conn. In addition, she was the director of the Miss Porter’s School Athletic Experience summer camp for middle school-aged girls, taught Health and Leadership courses, and coached several sports at a variety of levels, including lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving and squash.

Dr. Conant earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Wheaton College in 1997 and was a member of the Wheaton women’s soccer and lacrosse programs between 1993-1997. Following her undergraduate experience, she worked at Springfield College as a graduate associate in athletic administration and women’s lacrosse while earning a master's degree in athletic administration in 2000. Dr. Conant also earned a master's degree in sport management from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009 while working as a sport management teaching assistant and career services associate. Dr. Conant completed her doctoral work in the Higher Education Leadership program at Regis College; her dissertation was entitled “Independent School Athletic Directors: An Exploration of Role Conflict Management Strategies.”
